The Battle For The Speed Planet is an expansion for Beam Saber by Austin Ramsay that adds mechanics for a new mission type; Mecha Races, contests of high speed vehicular combat. Mecha Racing is a Meta-Sport, a fictional sport that exists within the world and system of Beam Saber, where players step into the roles of a elite racing team and put their skills to the test against rival teams and treacherous race tracks.

The mechanics introduced The Battle For The Speed Planet allows players to turn a session of Beam Saber into a high octane battle where every action is a tactical move in a high speed ballet. 

This expansion includes the rules and mechanics for mecha racing, a new setting, 5 race course maps, 5 rival squads, and tools for running a tournament style campaign.
